of Global Jesuit Higher Education
of Global Jesuit Higher Education
In March 2026, the inaugural symposium of the Global Research Alliance of Jesuit Universities (GRAJU) gathers scholars, educators, and leaders from around the world that will open the conversation on the AI frontier and the distinctives of Jesuit higher education. Across four days of keynote sessions, panel discussions, and collaborative exchanges, we will ask how emerging technologies can be harnessed to uphold human dignity, deepen formation, and shape a more hopeful future.
The symposium will be held on 9 - 12 March 2026, hosted by Ateneo de Manila University.
The Global Research Alliance of Jesuit Universities (GRAJU) was founded in 2025 by seven Jesuit institutions—Ateneo de Manila University (Philippines), Fordham University (USA), Georgetown University (USA), ITESO (Mexico), Sogang University (South Korea), University of Deusto (Spain), and the University of Namur (Belgium).
GRAJU is envisioned as a worldwide network of Jesuit higher education institutions committed to advancing mission-driven research that responds to pressing global challenges. Guided by Ignatian values of excellence, justice, and service to humanity, GRAJU fosters collaboration across disciplines, cultures, and regions to generate knowledge that transforms societies and shapes a more hopeful future.
The inaugural symposium in Manila marks the beginning of this global endeavor, bringing together scholars, educators, and leaders to chart the research frontiers where Jesuit higher education can make the greatest difference.
